Leather grades, construction and finish you can specify
The leather grade is the biggest quality and cost decision. These are the options we cut and stitch.

|---|---|
| Leather grade | Full-grain, top-grain, genuine or vegan PU — full-grain is our default recommendation |
| Construction | Hand-stitched or machine-stitched; turned or painted edges |
| Hardware | Spring money clip, magnetic closure, snap or button |
| Capacity | 2–12 card slots plus cash and coin compartments |
| Logo | Deboss, hot-stamp foil, laser etch, woven label |

MOQ, tooling and how pricing works

Decision guide
Full-grain, top-grain or vegan: how to choose
- Full-grain. Most durable and develops patina; the highest cost. Best for premium lines.
- Top-grain. Sanded and corrected for a uniform look; slightly cheaper.
- Genuine leather. The lowest grade — the name sounds premium but it is not. We steer clear unless you ask for it.
- Vegan PU. Consistent colour and price; it will not patina or outlast full-grain.
Quality
How we control quality on the leather line
Leather quality shows up first in the hide and the stitching, so both are checked before and during production.
01
Leather grading
Hide selection and grading before cutting; blemishes cut around.
02
Stitching
Stitch density and tension checked mid-batch.
03
Edge finish
Painted or turned edges checked for cracking and colour match.
Pricing logic
What actually moves your quote
- Leather grade. Full-grain runs roughly 3× vegan PU and changes cutting yield.
- Quantity. 500 to 5,000 pieces typically drops unit cost 18–30%.
- Construction. Hand-stitching adds labour versus machine-stitching.
- Edge finishing. Painted edges add a finishing pass and rejection risk.
- Packaging. A rigid box can cost more than the wallet at low volume.
