Private Label Wallets

Private Label Wallet Manufacturing — Your Brand, Our Production

Private label wallet manufacturing is the fastest, lowest-risk path for brands, e-commerce sellers, and promotional buyers to enter the wallet market with professionally produced, brand-ready products. At TOP, we combine 15 years of wallet production expertise with flexible private label programs that let you launch your own wallet line without investing in custom tooling, design engineering, or manufacturing infrastructure.

Our private label clients include Amazon FBA sellers, Shopify store owners, corporate gift distributors, subscription box curators, and emerging DTC brands. With MOQs starting at 100 units per SKU and lead times as short as 14 days, we remove the traditional barriers to entry for wallet entrepreneurship.

What Is Private Label Wallet Manufacturing?

Private label manufacturing means you sell products manufactured by TOP under your own brand name, logo, and packaging. Unlike OEM (where you design the product) or ODM (where you customize an existing factory design), private label uses our proven catalog designs with your brand applied to the surface, packaging, and collateral.

The Private Label Advantage

Private label eliminates three major risks for new and growing brands: design validation risk (the product is already market-tested), tooling investment risk (no mold or die costs), and production quality risk (the design has been manufactured thousands of times with refinement). You focus on brand building, marketing, and customer acquisition while we handle production excellence.

How Private Label Differs from OEM and ODM

Factor Private Label ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing)
Product Design Factory catalog design, unchanged structure Factory design platform with material/dimension customization Client-designed product; full structural control
Brand Customization Logo, color, packaging, inserts Logo, color, materials, dimensions, hardware, packaging Unlimited — every element is custom
MOQ 100–300 units per SKU 300–500 units per SKU 500–1,000 units per SKU
Lead Time 14–30 days 30–45 days 45–60 days
Upfront Investment Lowest — no tooling fees Moderate — shared tooling costs Highest — full tooling investment required
IP Ownership No transfer; design remains factory property Partial; mold exclusivity negotiable Full client ownership under NDA
Best For Market testing, new brands, fast launches Growth-stage brands wanting differentiation Established brands with design resources

The Graduation Path: Private Label → ODM → OEM

Many of our most successful clients began with private label, proved market demand, and later upgraded to ODM or OEM as their volumes justified the investment. This staged approach preserves capital, validates product-market fit, and builds cash flow before committing to custom tooling. We support seamless transitions — your account manager maintains continuity as your engagement model evolves.

Brand Customization Depth

Private label does not mean generic. We offer extensive surface-level and packaging customization to ensure your wallet line reflects your brand identity and resonates with your target audience.

Product-Level Branding

Every wallet in our private label program can carry your brand through the following methods:

  • Debossing/Embossing: Blind deboss (no foil) or color-matched foil deboss on leather surfaces. Minimum height: 4mm for legibility.
  • Laser Engraving: Permanent logo marking on aluminum, carbon fiber, wood, and coated metal surfaces. Resolution up to 600 DPI.
  • Hot Foil Stamping: Metallic (gold, silver, copper, rose gold) or matte pigmented foil on leather and synthetic materials.
  • Silk-Screen Printing: Multi-color logo reproduction on fabric, nylon, and flat leather panels.
  • Woven Labels: Interior or exterior fabric labels with up to 8 colors, damask or satin weave.
  • Metal Logo Plates: Die-cast zinc alloy plates with enamel fill, attached by screws or adhesive.

Packaging & Unboxing Experience

Packaging is a critical brand touchpoint, especially for e-commerce and gift buyers. Our private label packaging options include:

  • Retail-ready kraft boxes: Recyclable brown kraft with custom black or color printing. Fits Amazon FBA requirements.
  • Magnetic closure gift boxes: Rigid board construction with foil-stamped logo, tissue paper, and ribbon pull. Ideal for premium positioning and corporate gifting.
  • Polybag with header card: Cost-efficient option for mass retail and promotional distribution. Header card supports full-color branding and product information.
  • Cotton drawstring pouches: Organic cotton or canvas bags with printed or embroidered logo. Popular for artisanal and sustainable brand positioning.
  • Tin or metal cases: Aluminum or tin containers with embossed lids for collectible and EDC brand aesthetics.

Hang Tags, Inserts & Documentation

We produce complete brand support materials:

  • Hang tags: Custom die-cut shapes, foil stamping, spot UV, and QR codes linking to your website or warranty registration.
  • Care instruction booklets: Translated and printed in your brand voice with cleaning, storage, and maintenance guidance.
  • Warranty cards: Serialized or batch-numbered cards for customer registration and authenticity verification.
  • Thank-you / brand story inserts: Cards that communicate your brand origin, values, and customer appreciation messaging.

E-Commerce Digital Asset Packages

For Amazon, Shopify, and multichannel sellers, we offer optional digital asset packages including white-background product photography (5 angles minimum), lifestyle context shots, 360° spin images, and dimension diagrams. These assets are formatted to platform specifications and can be delivered within 7 days of production completion.

Low-Volume Starter Policies

We designed our private label program specifically to accommodate brands that are testing demand or managing constrained capital. Our low-volume policies are structured to reduce risk without compromising professionalism.

MOQ Structure

  • Single SKU, single color: 100 units
  • Single SKU, multiple colors (2–4): 200 units total (50 per color minimum)
  • Multi-SKU order (3+ SKUs): 75 units per SKU
  • Corporate gift / event orders: 50 units with premium packaging upgrade

Sample Policy for Private Label

Before committing to a production order, you can order 1–3 units as evaluation samples. Sample pricing is 2× the projected unit cost plus shipping. If you proceed with a full order within 30 days, we credit 50% of the sample cost against your production invoice.

Payment Terms for New Clients

New private label clients pay 50% deposit to initiate production, with the 50% balance due before shipment. After two completed orders with on-time payment, you qualify for 30% deposit / 70% Net 15 terms. Established clients (5+ orders) may qualify for Net 30.

Design Support for Private Label Clients

Even though private label uses our catalog designs, we provide complimentary design support to ensure your branding execution is polished and retail-ready.

Logo Placement Recommendations

Our design team reviews your logo files (AI, EPS, PDF vector preferred) and recommends optimal placement, sizing, and reproduction method for each wallet style. We consider logo complexity, wallet material, and brand positioning to suggest deboss vs. laser vs. foil vs. woven label.

Packaging Design Templates

We provide dieline templates for all standard packaging formats. You or your designer submit artwork to these specifications, and we handle pre-press review, color proofing, and production. Turnaround from artwork approval to printed packaging is 7–10 days.

Color Matching Guidance

If your brand uses specific Pantone colors, we match leather dyes, foil pigments, anodized finishes, and print inks to your standard. Color proofs are photographed under D65 lighting and sent for remote approval before production.

Quality Control for Private Label

Private label products receive identical quality attention as OEM and ODM orders. Our quality system does not differentiate by engagement tier.

Incoming & In-Process QC

Materials are inspected against approved standards before release to production. Inline inspectors verify stitch integrity, logo placement accuracy, hardware function, and dimensional compliance at defined checkpoints.

Final AQL Inspection

All private label shipments undergo AQL 2.5 general inspection level II before release. You receive a quality inspection report with photos, defect classification, and corrective action documentation (if applicable).

Pre-Shipment Photo Confirmation

For first-time private label clients, we provide pre-shipment photos of finished units, packaging, and carton configuration for remote approval. This eliminates surprises and ensures your first delivery matches expectations.

Success Case Profiles

Our private label program has launched and sustained wallet lines across multiple market segments. The following anonymized profiles represent typical client archetypes.

Amazon FBA Private Label Seller

A California-based Amazon seller launched a minimalist card holder line using our aluminum private label platform with laser-engraved branding. Starting with 300 units across three colors, the seller scaled to 2,000 units per reorder within 18 months and later transitioned to ODM with custom card-slot configuration. Annual revenue from this SKU exceeded $400,000.

Corporate Gift Distributor

A promotional products distributor in Texas sourced 1,500 leather wallets annually for a financial services client’s employee recognition program. Our private label program provided custom debossed logos, magnetic gift boxes, and branded insert cards. The 14-day turnaround supported the client’s event-driven ordering pattern.

Subscription Box Curator

A men’s lifestyle subscription box included our RFID-blocking card case as a quarterly featured item. The client ordered 500 units per quarter with custom hang tags and a brand story insert. The product received a 4.7-star average review from 2,300+ subscriber ratings.

Sustainable Fashion Startup

A New York-based sustainable fashion brand launched a cork wallet line using our vegan private label catalog. The brand added custom woven labels, recycled kraft packaging, and a QR-linked sustainability story card. The line sold through the brand’s Shopify store and two boutique retail partners.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order for private label wallets?

Our private label MOQ starts at 100 units per SKU for single-color orders. Multi-color orders start at 200 units total. For multi-SKU orders (3+ styles), we reduce per-SKU minimums to 75 units.

How quickly can I receive my first private label order?

From logo approval to delivery, private label orders typically ship within 14–21 days for catalog colors and 21–30 days for custom color matching. Rush production is available for 25% expediting fee.

Can I see samples before ordering?

Yes. We recommend ordering 1–3 sample units with your logo applied to evaluate quality, fit, and finish. Sample cost is 2× unit price plus shipping. 50% of sample cost is credited if you place a production order within 30 days.

Do I need to provide my own packaging design?

No. We offer standard packaging options (kraft box, polybag, cotton pouch) with your logo applied. If you want fully custom packaging, we provide dieline templates and handle production from your artwork.

Will other brands sell the same wallet design?

Yes — private label catalog designs are available to multiple clients. If you require design exclusivity, our wallet-oem-odm|ODM or OEM services offer mold exclusivity and full design ownership options.

Can I sell private label wallets on Amazon?

Absolutely. We are experienced with Amazon FBA requirements: FNSKU labeling, polybag suffocation warnings, carton weight limits, and pallet configuration. Over 40% of our private label volume ships directly to Amazon fulfillment centers.

What happens if I receive defective units?

We replace defective units at our cost. Document defects with photos within 14 days of receipt, and we ship replacements with your next order or via express if timing is critical. Our defect rate is below 1.2%.

Can I transition from private label to ODM or OEM later?

Yes — many clients follow this path. Your account manager will guide the transition, and any customization knowledge we develop during your private label relationship carries forward to reduce ODM/OEM ramp-up time.
